Learn to Dive

The only way to learn to scuba dive is to learn from an experienced professional. I'm certified to teach both the PADI Open Water Diver course and the SDI Open Water Scuba Diver course. To guarantee your comfort and safety, we limit classes to just four students, although most only have two!

The typical class for learning to scuba dive involves the following.

• Some theory work – this can be done on your computer, phone, or tablet.
• Some time in the pool to teach you all of the skills required for the class.
• Some time in the ocean to make sure you remember the skills you learned in the pool. This time will be split over at least 2 days, but they don’t need to be back-to-back. I typically do shore dives on the first day, and boat dives on the second. This gives you the chance to learn to scuba dive and see some of the best diving available in our area at the same time.

After you’ve completed the entire course, you’ll receive an Open Water Diver certification card that’s valid all over the world. With this card, you and your buddy will be able to dive to depths of 18 metres without needing an instructor.

The price includes all course materials, pool fees, dives, and free rental of all equipment required for the course.

Where is the class?

The pool skills are usually done in Brisbane, while the dives happen on the Gold Coast.

Cost?

Public classes are $745 for each student. There's a 10% discount if you're booking for 2 or more people at the same time.
Private classes for one student are available for $945.
